The new 2005 edition of the A-Z Care Homes Guide will be published in January. Recognised throughout the sector as the definitive annual guide to registered care homes in the United Kingdom, the publication is divided into four main sections: statistics; care homes; independent hospitals and clinics and the A-Z Buyers Guide for Care Homes. There are additional sections for regulatory authorities, care home groups, operators of community care housing, charities and voluntary organisations. The statistics section outlines changes in numbers of care homes, comparisons of charge rates, and care homes by number of beds and by specialist care category. The A-Z database is also available on disk, enabling sales campaigns to be targeted to care homes by region, size of home and category of care, using standard word-processing packages. – For more information on the A-Z Care Homes Guide contact: Davina Ludlow, publisher, A-Z Care Homes Guide, PO Box 7677, Hungerford, RG17 0FX.
