Castleoak completes new residential home for The Dorset Trust

Specialist contractor Castleoak Construction has completed a new residential home, Talbot View, in Bournemouth for The Dorset Trust. The new 59-bed home, located off Winton Way, has replaced the former Talbot View and is the first new-build project commissioned by The Dorset Trust. Residents from the old home have now all moved into their new home. The Talbot View development is Castleoak’s first contract with The Dorset Trust, which took over 18 homes from Dorset County Council in March 1991, and is now the main provider of community care services for older people in the county. The accommodation is arranged into four group living units, and all residents have single en-suite bedrooms. Each unit has its own distinctive colour scheme and name, based upon local history and one of the units has been designed specifically to care for people suffering from dementia. Great emphasis was placed in the design upon creating a spacious, light and airy environment and a homely atmosphere. An enclosed garden is provided
