Charity welcomes the new standards

Methodist Homes has enthusiastically welcomed the new minimum accommodation standards. Policy, research and information manager Robert Parkinson described the standards as a baseline from which the charity already operates. “They are to be warmly welcomed,” Mr Parkinson said. “In the main we already meet and exceed the conditions required. “Some other providers may have a lot of work to do to meet the minimum requirements but the overall gain will be to the good of older people in the UK now, and in the future.”
