Chessmann plays key role in Restful Homes projects

Healthcare sector consultancy Chessmann Consulting has played an integral part in the recently completed Restful Homes Group luxury care home project at Winson Green in Birmingham.

The two adjacent homes offer between them 168 bedrooms, with a number of ancillary facilities including hairdressing and beauty salons, air conditioned lounges and cafe, entertainment and quiet lounges, and a sensory garden.

Situated next to the canal, the site was the former Albion Works factory, and extensive clearing of contaminated material had to be undertaken before construction could start.

Acting as employer’s agent on the project Chessmann, which supplies services from project and cost management to building consultancy, said it had a long track record of working with the Restful Homes Group, and has started work with the group on a new build 86-bed care home in Garretts Green, Birmingham.
