Cornish care home snapped up by private buyers

Care home operators Roger and Elaine Eddy have sold the North Cornwall nursing home they established in 1984 in order to retire from the healthcare sector. Fore Dore nursing home in Trebetherick, near Wadebridge, close to the North Cornwall coast, has been sold to Sue Bhayro and her daughter ­ private buyers from Suffolk. The Exeter office of specialist business agents, Christie & Co was appointed to market the nursing home at an asking price of £895,000 for the freehold interest. Fore Dore nursing home is located just inland from the North Cornish coast, between Polzeath and Rock, within easy reach of the towns of Wadebridge and Padstow and close to the A39 north coastal road. Christie & Co says the property was originally a two-storey residence which has been converted and extended to provide a good quality nursing home. The home is registered for 32 residents (22 nursing and 10 residential) and offers accommodation in single, ground floor bedrooms with en suite facilities. There is also a four-bedroom ow
