Craegmoor buys J C Care

Craegmoor Healthcare has acquired J C Care plc, adding accommodation for 200 clients with learning disabilities and/or mental health problems to its portfolio of residential, specialist and nursing care provision. J C Care consists of 16 homes located in and around Leeds. The homes, which Craegmoor says enjoy excellent relationships with the local community, will continue to be run by the existing team of staff. Services available at the J C Care homes include providing for people who require encouragement and support in developing independent living skills, people who have physical health problems and disabilities, people whose behaviour severely challenges their environment and people whose needs cause them to be fully dependent on staff support and care. The acquisition includes Woodhouse Hall in Wakefield, which was the first home established by the J C Care Group. This property is divided into three small group homes and caters for adults with learning disabilities and/or emotional and behavioural proble
