Energy conservation in care accommodation – making it happen

Last year saw Castleoak, the Group which specialises in the development, design and construction of all types of care accommodation, take its environmental performance up several gears: it appointed its first environmental manager, updated a formal environmental policy and strategy, and launched a ‘Sustainability Forum’ across the business’s wide-ranging technical functions. According to Castleoak’s head of design, Tony Farnsworth, sustainability has always been a priority for the business but the holistic approach has really added momentum.
