Enriching lives: evaluation of the ExtraCare activity challenge

The ExtraCare Activity Challenge took 19 people with dementia out of their normal care environment for an exciting outdoor activity holiday. Dawn Brooker describes how Dementia Care Mapping has helped to evaluate this experience and how its benefits for both residents and staff might be developed for the future.
