Executive Care boosts portfolio

Two care homes in Northumberland and Tyne and Wear have been recently acquired by the Gateshead-based Executive Care Group. Hillcrest residential and nursing home in Alnwick, Northumberland and Hillcrest care home in Jarrow, Tyne & Wear were purchased from Mr S Gill for an undisclosed sum. Executive Care’s chief executive, Jennifer Houghton, said the purchase of the care homes in Jarrow and Alnwick marked an important wave of investment for the group. “We pride ourselves on offering a caring and homely environment to all our residents and both homes will now undergo a full assessment, to ensure they meet the five-star standards that are evident in the Executive Care Group’s other quality homes,” said Ms Houghton. “We also plan to open a further three homes in the coming months, including another in the North-East.” The Executive Care Group was originally established by Mrs Houghton more than 18 years ago as a single home partnership.
