Four Seasons strengthens expertise in neuro-rehabilitation

Major operator Four Seasons Health Care has appointed Professor Mike Barnes as consultant advisor for neuro-disability and rehabilitation services, reporting to chief executive Tony Heywood. Prof. Barnes will keep his role as a Professor of Neurological Rehabilitation at the Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in Newcastle. At Four Seasons he will provide a single point of contact for key staff seeking advice regarding the range and nature of services provided, focusing on good clinical practice in the treatment of neuro-rehabilitation. He will also give guidance and support on an ad hoc basis to the core clinical staff and work on projects advising as to the nature of either current services or developments and making recommendations regarding their improvement or design. Prof. Barnes started his career after training at Bristol and is both a neurologist and a rehabilitation physician. He has worked for the last 20 years building up the Regional Neuro-Rehabilitation Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne. He
