Cheshire-based Contour Showers has won a major French healthcare design award the prix Autonomic 2000 Hygiène-Sainf. The two-yearly award was given for the company¹s Pipit shower tray, in recognition of its above-ground waste outlets, which obviate the need to dig-up the floor on installation. Contour¹s shower tray was judged a winner in the hygiene section which specifically caters for products to assist less able people. The company has just invested almost £400,000 in a new factory in Stoke on Trent where it will manufacture shower trays.
