Gloucestershire Health and Social Services and independent providers in Gloucestershire have created a joint webpage www.gloscare.co.uk providing information on care homes and up-to-date information on vacancies. Blanchworth Care chief executive Sally Roberts, speaking for the Gloucestershire Care Forum, said that, with 180 care homes in the county with occupancy averaging 95%, it could be very difficult and time-consuming to find a suitable placement. “With funding provided from the statutory agencies, we are delighted to have established this webpage,” Ms Roberts said. “Health and Social Services have welcomed this initiative and have given every indication that the site will be used regularly by their staff to find homes with vacancies.”
