Jones returns to Wiltshire

Professor Ray Jones, chief executive of the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) since its inception in 2001, has decided to rejoin Wiltshire County Council as Director of Adult and Community Services. Professor Jones will leave SCIE later this year. SCIE chair Jane Campbell said that, using his extensive experience in the management and delivery of social services, Prof Jones (right) had made a tremendous contribution to the creation and early development of SCIE. Prof Jones said it had been a privilege helping to establish SCIE. “With its talented staff and experienced board, I am confident SCIE has great potential to make a significant difference to the quality of social care delivered in England and Wales,” he said.
