Lanarkshire home bought by manager

Mr and Mrs John McGuiness sold their nursing home ­ Rathgael, in Wishaw, Lanarkshire ­ through Christie & Co. Rathgael nursing home is situated in a quiet, residential area of the town, yet with easy access to the town centre. It is a substantial, stone-built property standing in its own grounds with courtyard patio and car park. A modern, purpose-built extension incorporating a day care centre was added to the original property in 1993. The business is registered for 18 residents with Lanarkshire Health Board. Christie & Co¹s clients, Mr and Mrs McGuinness had owned this quality nursing home for a number of years but it was run under a manager ­ Mr John Montgomery ­ together with a full complement of staff. When the McGuinnesses announced that they were selling the home and concentrating on other business interests, Mr Montgomery decided to put in an offer, which was subsequently accepted.
