Life Style Care reports record profits and continued growth

Life Style Care plc has reported record profits and continued growth during 2003. Turnover, at £27.845m, increased by 32 per cent over last year (£21.071m). Earnings before interest and tax increased by 38 per cent at £8.28m for 2003 (2002: £5.98m). Life Style Care said the profits will be used to fund expansion of future projects throughout the country. Currently operating with 1,339 beds in its 19 care centres for frail elderly people, elderly mentally infirm and younger physically disabled adults, Life Style Care has recently opened a 92-bed centre in Feltham, Middlesex. It plans to add to its capacity in 2004 with a new development in Luton providing 80 beds. Beyond that, the group plans to manage the operation of a further six centres, bringing total capacity up to around 2,000 high quality purpose built beds.
