Meridian redevelops Kirkby House

Redevelopment has started at Meridian Healthcare’s Kirkby House care home in Kirkby, Merseyside. With work scheduled to complete in December, more than £1m is being spent to upgrade the existing home to provide 30 newly refurbished rooms along with new build accommodation for a further 10 ensuite bedrooms, additional ensuite facilities and communal areas. The building will also benefit from a new roof and redesigning of external gardens and landscaped patio areas. Meridian managing director Alan Firth said said the upgrade of Kirkby House would extend the provision of residential and dementia related accommodation in the area. “We have already proven our commitment to improving the quality of life of older people in the area, with the recent completion of similar work at Fazakerly House in Prescot, and the soon to be completed new build of Roby House in Huyton,” said Mr Firth. “The redevelopment of Kirkby House is part of our broader vision to provide high quality modern facilities and services which
