Millfield launches care fees planning service

Millfield Partnership Ltd, one of the UK¹s leading firms of independent financial advisors (IFAs), has launched Millfield Care Partnership, a new care fees planning service with an IFA training programme exclusively endorsed by Age Concern Financial Partnerships. Through its new service, headed by Jeremy Davies, Millfield believes it is now the biggest provider of specialist advice for care fees planning across the UK. Jeremy Davies, business development consultant for Millfield Care Partnership, said the company recognised that one in four men and one in three women at age 65 would require care in their lifetime, creating a financial burden for those meeting care costs. “In addition to this, we recognise that 85 per cent of the public and 70 per cent of care home proprietors are unaware that there are care fees planning solutions to meet these costs,” Mr Davies said. “This is despite the UK¹s ageing population, and that since the Health and Social Care Act 2001, there is limited state funding for anyone wi
