MSc offered in end of life care

A new course for experienced healthcare workers will offer one of the highest qualifications in the country for professionals looking after patients with terminal or chronic illnesses.

Northumbria University’s School of Health, Community and Education Studies has launched a new MSc in End of Life Care. Programme leader Joanne Atkinson said the course would significantly raise the standards of care available and provide a greater understanding of the needs of people diagnosed with terminal or chronic illness.
