National standards for commissioners

Skills for Care has launched the first ever national occupational standards (NOS) for managers and employers who commission services across the social care sector.

The NOS developed with other sector skills council partners set out for the first time the specific skills and knowledge required by commissioners and those involved in procurement and contracting.
