NCSC issues fees and registration details

Homecare and nurses agencies must apply for registrtaion with the National Care Standards Commission (NCSC) by June 20, 2002. Application packs for registration are available from the NCSC. These contain an About Registration booklet, a “registration routefinder”, application forms and associated documents for organisations, individuals and managers. To obtain a registration application pack, telephone the NCSC helpline on 0191 233 3556, or download the pack from www.doh.gov/ncsc/application pack/index.htm. Registration fees for homecare agencies are: Responsible individual: Agency: £1,100, Small agency: £300 Manager: Agency £300, Small agency: none. Annual fees following registration will be first payable on April 1, 2003, or on the date on which the registration certificate is issued, which ever is the later. All homecare agencies, regardless of size, will pay an annual flat rate of £750.
