The Executive Care Group has opened new head offices at Team alley in Gateshead and completed a new care home in Norton. Houghton House, the company’s new HQ, has also become home to Access Training Centres Ltd, Executive’s specialist training arm which offers training and development services for workers and unemployed people, including NVQ accreditations and courses in health and social care and management training. Established by chief executive Jennifer Houghton more than 20 years ago as a single home partnership, the Executive Care Group now owns and operates 26 care homes in England, with a further four homes in Scotland. The recently completed purpose-built care home in Norton offers 24-hour nursing and neuro-psychiatry residential care for around 52 residents, giving them each their own ensuite facilities and access to a dedicated activities programme, designed to keep them active and independent.
