New post for Firth at Meridian

Susan Firth has been appointed to the newly created role of group operations director for Meridian Healthcare. The new role is group wide and is responsible for 965 registered beds within 21 care centres located throughout the North of England. In addition to three existing regional managers, Mrs Firth has also strengthened her team by the appointment of Mrs Gaynor Harding as a fourth regional manager and Mrs Theresa Oddie as group peripatetic manager. Recently promoted to the role from the divisional role as Meridian care operations director, Mrs Firth has some 18 years’ experience working within the care sector with both private and public organisations. In addition to day-to-day operations issues, she has recently been responsible for the development of the award winning White Rose House in Holmfirth and the active acquisition of purpose built care centres to support the strategic direction of Meridian Healthcare. The Meridian board sees all these appointments as a major step in their quest to grow the bus
