New UK operations director for Sunrise Assisted Living

Sunrise Assisted Living has appointed Carole Hunt, previously general manager of the first of Sunrise UK assisted living complexes in Sidcup, Kent, to director of operations for the UK. Ms Hunt¹s new role will be to oversee the operational expansion of Sunrise throughout the South East of England. The company is set to invest £150 million in the UK over the next five years and has already confirmed three new sites in Virginia Water, Reigate and Elstree. Sunrise says it pioneered the concept of “assisted living” in the USA as a new model of care for elderly people, which had become a way of life in America. Assisted living has recently been brought to the UK and Sunrise says the success of its first assisted living development in Kent suggests that the model will be as popular in the UK as America.
