New unit will encourage private/public partnerships

A new unit in the Department of Health has been created to help private/public partnerships. The creation of the unit is said to confirm the Government’s determination to persist with greater involvement of the private sector in the delivery of NHS care. The unit will be headed by Andy McKeon, a civil servant.
