NHP gets approach for whole company

Following a share price rise of over 20 per cent in the last month, NHP has announced that it has received a takeover approach for the whole company. In May, NHP put its operating arm Highfield Holdings (194 homes and 9000 beds) up for sale. A spokesperson for the company said this process was continuing regardless of any other discussion. Despite much speculation at the time Caring Times went to press, no clear favourite has emerged as the likeliest bidder.
