Online tests check mental agility

Values based recruitment assessment specialist Profiles4Care has partnered with Australia-based ebilities, who design and develop online mental agility tests, to assist employers in the health and social care sectors to hire, develop and retain candidates with high potential and the confidence and ability to make the right decisions at work.
Profiles4Care already provides assessments that identify values-based behaviours that health and social care staff are expected to demonstrate to provide high quality care and which impact on the success of an employee’s training, development, and retention.
ebilities director Clare Lewis said employees at all levels of an organisation were making more and more decisions and there was always the possibility of an overconfident employee getting a decision wrong, or an underconfident employee not making a decision at all.
“Either scenario can cost a company dearly,” said Ms Lewis.
“This is especially relevant in the health and social care sector where we are talking about the care and wellbeing of people. Employers should be looking at how to mitigate that risk through more informed and insightful recruiting processes.”
