Alexander Forbes Corporate Risk Solutions (AFCRS) has launched a specialist healthcare practice led by Philip Dearn. AFCRS already provides risk and insurance services to private healthcare companies and the new practice will focus on expanding AFCRS’ business with care homes, hospitals and businesses specialising in long term care, mental health and special needs. The services offered will be: # Risk consulting; # Insurance design, placement and advice; # Business continuity management advice; # Risk and insurance due diligence; # Absence management and electronic incident management. AFCRS chief executive Roger Brown said the new national healthcare practice would operate through AFCRS’ existing network of regional offices, with specialists allocated to each location to advise existing clients and pursue new business opportunities. “Philip Dearn will co-ordinate the team’s activities and provide leadership and sector expertise as well as building relationships with key centres of influence,” said Mr Brown.
