Southern Cross joins with charity to launch helpline to curtail abuse

Major provider Southern Cross Healthcare and the charity Action on Elder Abuse (AEA) have launched a joint initiative to help curtail abuse in care homes across the UK.

It has long been a concern of care home professionals that some residents, especially the frailer ones, might not in a position to complain if they felt either that they were being abused or that their treatment fell below normal standards.
