Specialist care provider Swanton Care and Community is building a four bed unit in the village of Much Wenlock in Shropshire to provide for adults with complex needs. Once the development, to be named Darwin Place, is complete Swanton has been given permission to build three further detached apartments, which the company hopes will encourage independent living by providing service users with a greater sense of autonomy, coupled with support if required. Swanton managing director Paul Hill said the Darwin Place further underlined his company’s commitment to build high quality homes across the UK. “I am pleased that discussions with local authorities have so far been positive and that we are in a position to provide our high quality care services to meet local demand,” said Mr Hill. “Swanton is a company that is deeply proud of its growing reputation as a quality care provider and I am pleased that once again we are providing these much needed services for local people in such beautiful surroundings.”
