Veterans’ home to more than double in size

Erskine, a charity providing specialist care for ex-service men and women, is to extend its new Edinburgh home to help care for the growing number of veterans who have served both in past and current day conflicts.

With a Scotland-wide waiting list of 190 ex-service men and women in need of specialist care, and four service personnel being injured for every one person killed in conflicts such as Iraq and Afghanistan, the new Edinburgh home extension will make available a further 48 beds, boosting the size of the existing 40-bed Erskine Edinburgh home by mor
