Witheyman joins Somerset Care

Not-for-profit care provider Somerset Care Group has appointed Stephen Witheyman as regional manager to oversee its interests on the South Coast. Stephen Witheyman spent many years working for Hampshire County Council, and brings his experience of care services for older people and those with learning disabilities to support the development of the Somerset Care Group’s services in the region. He is based in Havant and has responsibility for the Group’s subsidiary companies Echoes Community Care, based in Havant, and Isle Care on the Isle of Wight. Isle Care is based in Shanklin, and operates four care homes for elderly people and 14 homes for adults with learning disabilities. Echoes Community Care provides community care in Hampshire, Portsmouth, and West Sussex. Based in Taunton, the Somerset Care Group also operates 27 care homes in Somerset and Gloucestershire which provide residential and nursing care for more than 1,000 residents, and through their domiciliary care company, Care at Home, it provides mor
